Nabraj Lama

Nabraj Lama is a research scholar based in Kathmandu, Nepal. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics and an undergraduate degree in Development Studies. His professional objective is to contribute to the mainstreaming of marginalized communities and excluded groups in the socio-cultural and political-economic affairs of the state.

Mr. Lama has experience working in the fields of water resources, international affairs, political economy, and indigenous nationalities. He possesses extensive research experience in both academic and developmental projects. He has collaborated with The World Bank Nepal, India China Institute (ICI) at The New School University, Durham University, UK, Helvetas/Swiss Inter-cooperation Nepal, Heifer International Nepal, and the Central Department of Anthropology at Tribhuvan University on various research projects.

Having traveled to more than 55 districts of Nepal, Mr. Lama has a deep interest and passion for preserving the socio-cultural components of indigenous nationalities, different ethnic communities, castes, and other groups.
